Is your toilet leaking? Here's how to fix it.

Problem: Do you hear a constant humming noise or see a trickle of water running down the toilet? This means your cistern needs maintenance. Ignoring the problem can cost you hundreds of euros in water bills.

Solution: Often you don't need to change the entire cassette!
1. If water comes out of the "overflow", it is probably the float that is no longer closing (scale or broken).
2. If the water continues to drain, it is probably the bottom gasket (the rubber at the bottom) that has dried out or deformed.

Identifying the Brand is fundamental

In the world of toilet cisterns, spare parts are NOT universal .
For concealed cisterns, you need to look at the actuator plate (the button you press). Does it say Geberit?
Buy only brand-specific replacement parts. A Pucci float will never fit properly in a Geberit cistern, and vice versa.
