BG electric pumps with Genyo
The Lowara BG combined system with Genyo is the modern and compact solution for automating water extraction from wells and cisterns. This kit replaces the traditional membrane pressure tank, offering fully automatic operation thanks to the Genyo "electronic brain" mounted on the robust BG Series self-priming stainless steel pump.
Choosing this system offers three immediate benefits:
Lowara self-priming pump with GENYO BGM3/F15 control
Lowara self-priming pump with GENYO BGM5/F22 control
Lowara self-priming pump with GENYO BGM7/F22 control
Lowara self-priming pump with GENYO BGM11/F22 control
Problem: You have a well for watering or supplying your home, but you don't have space for a bulky pressure tank. Plus, you're worried that if the well dries up in the summer, the pump will continue to run and burn out.
Solution: The Lowara BG + Genyo kit solves everything.
The BG (Self-Priming) Pump guarantees safe suction even if the pipe draws a little air (typical of artesian wells).
The Genyo (Presscontrol) turns the water on when the faucet is opened and off when it is closed. It also acts as an active "motor protector": if water doesn't arrive, it stops the pump and sounds an alarm.
In our kits, you'll find the Genyo sized correctly for the pump. Generally:
For pumps up to 1.5 HP the standard version (8A or 16A) is used.
The Genyo Lowara also includes a small internal buffer tank (water reserve) to prevent annoying "water hammer" when the taps are closed, protecting the pipes.
Electronic systems like the Genyo are very sensitive. If you have a leaky toilet or a dripping faucet, the Genyo could cause the pump to cycle on and off.
Pro Tip: To avoid this phenomenon, we suggest installing a very small expansion vessel (2 or 5 litres) on the flow pipe.
No, be careful not to get confused. The Genyo is an on/off flow switch : it makes the pump work at its maximum performance. If the pump pushes 4 bar, you will have 4 bar. If you are looking for a system that maintains constant pressure and reduces consumption, you should look at the inverter models (ResiBoost or EcoBoost) .
Not necessarily. The Lowara Genyo has an automatic reset function. If it stops the pump because the well is empty, it will automatically retry after a few minutes/hours to see if the water has returned, without you having to go down into the well and press the "Reset" button.
For safety reasons during transport (to prevent the Genyo from breaking if it is bumped), the two components are often shipped in the same box but disassembled. Assembly is very simple: the Genyo screws directly onto the pump's delivery port (1" male thread) without the need for special tools.
