Why is Lowara Ecocirc better than others?

Problem: Many electronic circulators are delicate: the limescale and magnetite present in radiator water tend to block the magnetic rotor, especially after the summer break.

Solution: Lowara Ecocirc uses patented Anti-Block Technology . The rotor chamber is designed to prevent magnetite buildup, and if it becomes blocked, the software automatically initiates a "shaking routine" (rapid back-and-forth vibration) to unblock the impeller without the need to unscrew the central screw with a screwdriver.

The Ecocirc complies with international standards for centre distances (130mm or 180mm) and connections (1" 1/2 or 2"). Furthermore, the Lowara electrical socket is interchangeable and can be rotated 360°, facilitating wiring even in tight spaces inside the boiler or in the manifolds.

1. What is the practical difference between Ecocirc S+ and M+?

Mechanically, they're identical (same power, same connections). The difference is in the interface. The Ecocirc M+ (Premium) has a bright display that tells you in real time how many watts it's consuming and how much water it's moving (m³/h). This is very useful for understanding if the system is working properly. The S+ (Basic) only has colored LEDs.

2. Does this replace my old 3-speed pump?

Yes, perfectly. If your old pump had a I-II-III selector, the new Ecocirc will do the same job while consuming much less. Just check the center distance (the length from nut to nut): if it's 180mm, get the 180 model; if it's 130mm, get the 130.

3. Is it also suitable for underfloor heating?

Absolutely. The "One Turn" knob has a specific zone for underfloor heating (Constant Pressure - coil icon). Simply turn the knob to that zone and the pump will ensure all floor heating circuits receive the necessary water.
