Euroacque UV sterilizers
Debacterialization systems using UV rays for complete water treatment, economical and practical thanks to low electricity consumption and little maintenance required. Ecological treatment (without adding chemical products), without alterations in taste, no danger of overdosing and no alteration of the characteristics of the water, fast action (without any storage tank): the time is that of passage in the sterilizer. High compatibility with other technologies (filtration, softening, etc)

Problem: Well or spring water may appear clear, but it often contains harmful bacterial loads that have seeped into the ground.
Solution: The Euroacque UV Sterilizer passes water through a stainless steel chamber where it is hit by powerful ultraviolet (UV-C) light. This radiation has an immediate germicidal effect, rendering harmful bacteria incapable of reproducing.
For UV rays to affect bacteria, the water must be clear.
If the water is cloudy or contains sand, the bacteria "hide" behind the particles (shadow effect) and survive.
For this reason, it is mandatory to install a good filtration system (e.g. Euroacque Self-Cleaning Filter + Fine Cartridge Filter) upstream of the sterilizer to remove any solid residue.
UV lamps have an effective life of approximately 9,000 hours (1 year) .
Please note: after a year, the lamp will still turn on and emit a blue light, but it will no longer sterilize (it will lose its UV-C frequency). To ensure safety, the lamp must be replaced every 12 months.
The choice depends on the liters per minute (L/min) flowing through the pipe. If the water flows too quickly, the UV rays don't have time to kill the bacteria.
- For a single tap (under the sink): a small model (6-12 l/min) is sufficient.
- For the whole house: you need a model sized for the peak flow rate (e.g. 30-40 l/min), otherwise when you open two showers the water is not sterilized.
Yes, slightly. Since the lamp is always on, if you don't turn on the faucet for several hours (e.g., in the morning), the first glass of water may be lukewarm. This is normal. Just run the water for a few seconds to cool it down.
No. The sterilizer must be left on 24/7 . If you turn it off, bacteria can enter and contaminate downstream pipes. Furthermore, UV lamps are sensitive to frequent on/off cycles, which drastically shortens their lifespan.
