Why use Petronas Durance Additives?

Over time, engines build up carbon deposits on the injectors and valves, causing loss of power and increased fuel consumption.
Durance technology acts as a "scaling" for the engine:

1. Cleaning Injectors (Diesel and Petrol)

Simply pour a bottle into the tank (usually before filling up).
Result: Restores proper fuel atomization, eliminates engine "hiccups," and facilitates cold starts. Essential for modern Common Rail and FAP engines.

Are Petronas Durance additives compatible with Euro 6 engines and DPF/FAP systems?

Yes, Durance additives (such as injector cleaner and diesel treatment) are formulated to be safe for all modern engines. They help keep the fuel system clean and prevent premature clogging of particulate filters (DPF/FAP) and catalytic converters. It's important to follow the recommended dosages: excessive dosages won't improve performance but can cause combustion imbalances.

Can I mix Petronas Durance coolant with another color?

This is strongly discouraged. The colors (red, blue, yellow) identify different chemical bases (organic OAT or inorganic). Mixing products with different bases can create chemical reactions that lead to the formation of "sludge" or gelatinous deposits in the radiator, which can clog the ducts and cause the engine to overheat. When topping up, always use a fluid of the same technical specification.

Can I apply polish or protective wax in direct sunlight?

No. Auto body finish products contain solvents that must evaporate gradually. If applied to hot surfaces or in the sun, the product dries almost instantly, becoming extremely difficult to apply or remove, and leaving behind opaque whitish streaks and stains. Always work on cool surfaces and in the shade.

What should I do if fuel additive accidentally spills on the bodywork?

Additives are very powerful chemical solvents. If any drops fall near the filler neck while refueling, they should be removed immediately with plenty of water or a damp cloth. If left to dry on the paint, especially in the sun, they can damage the clear coat of the bodywork, leaving permanent stains or dulling the affected area.
