Gel Disinfectants: Sanitizing Systems and Water Softeners

Disinfectants and Sanitizers for Drinking Water

The GEL line of disinfectants is essential for ensuring the bacteriological safety of all domestic and industrial water systems. The sanitizing products are specifically formulated to eliminate biofilm, bacteria (including Legionella), and microorganisms that can proliferate in water softener resins, activated carbon filters, and storage tanks.

When to use GEL disinfectants?

  • **Water Softener Maintenance:** Mandatory once a year to sanitize the resin bed.
  • **Cisterns and Tanks:** To disinfect stagnant water or the walls of the storage tank.
  • **New Systems:** To sanitize the pipes before first use.

Deep Sanitization: Kill bacteria, not resins

Problem: Water softener resins (which work at room temperature) can become a breeding ground for bacteria (biofilm), compromising the hygienic quality of the drinking water entering your home.

Solution: Gel disinfectant liquids are based on chlorine or hydrogen peroxide (depending on the formulation), but are specifically balanced to be effective against bacteria without damaging the polystyrene resins. They should be used during the regeneration cycle, injected directly into the salt tank.

Biocides for Cooling Systems

In addition to domestic use, GEL also provides specific biocides for disinfecting evaporative towers and industrial cooling circuits, where Legionella growth is a serious risk. These liquids are designed for use in closed or open circuits, preventing the growth of algae and bacteria.

🧪 Products Certified for Potability

GEL drinking water disinfectants are certified and safe: after use, the machine performs a thorough rinse to eliminate all chemical residues. The resulting water is disinfected and drinkable, in accordance with the requirements of Ministerial Decree 174/2004.
