Why put an Inverter on a Jet Pump?

Problem: Usually, those who need a self-priming pump (Jet) have to resign themselves to pressure surges and high noise, because modern electronic pumps (multi-stage) are delicate and block if there is air in the pipe.

Solution: Lowara created this package to unite the two worlds.
The hydraulic part (BG) is robust and "rustic", capable of drawing water from wells up to 8 metres even with imperfect pipes.
The electronic part (ResiBoost) manages the engine smoothly. This offers two enormous advantages:
1. Noise Reduction: Jet pumps are noisy at full speed. The inverter, by frequently running them at medium speed, makes them much quieter than the standard version.

1. Is the system already assembled?

The ResiBoost system is designed to be mounted directly onto the motor's fan cover or onto the wall. It usually comes pre-wired to the pump, making installation very simple (plug & play). Simply connect the hoses and the electrical plug.

2. Is an expansion vessel needed?

Absolutely yes. Even though the inverter modulates the speed, a small expansion tank (recommended 2-8 liters) is necessary to compensate for small leaks and allow the pressure sensor to work properly without "going haywire." It must be mounted on the delivery pipe.

3. Does this system protect against water shortages?

Yes, the ResiBoost includes dry-running protection. If the well dries up, the inverter shuts down the pump and attempts to restart it automatically after a short delay, protecting the mechanical seal and preventing the motor from burning out while idling.
