Problem: Cheap "cup" filters require you to disassemble everything, remove the dirty cartridge, and replace it every three months. This is cumbersome, messy, and expensive over time.

Solution: Euroacque self-cleaning filters (such as the Nanofilter) have a durable stainless steel cartridge.
When you see that the filter is dirty, simply turn the top knob . The filter activates a backwash that brushes the cartridge and flushes the dirt directly into the drain, without interrupting the water supply to your home or opening the drain.

Where is the filter installed?

The sand trap filter must be installed at the entrance to the system (immediately after the main meter and before any pressure reducer).
By installing a Euroacque filter you will protect:

• The faucet aerators (which will no longer clog).
• The solenoid valves of washing machines and dishwashers.
• The boiler exchanger (from the sand, for the limestone you need the doser!).

1. Nanofilter or Jolly: which one to choose?

The Nanofilter is perfect for apartments and tight spaces: its brass head rotates 360°, so you can even mount it on vertical or oblique pipes. The Jolly is a more traditional filter, often larger in capacity, ideal if you have standard horizontal pipes and are looking for a robust and proven solution.

2. Does the filter remove limescale?

No. This is a common mistake. The mechanical sand filter only removes solids (soil, rocks, rust). Limescale is dissolved in the water. To treat limescale, you must install a polyphosphate dispenser or water softener after the filter.

3. I have a lot of sand in my well, what filter do I use?

If the water comes from a very dirty well, a standard screen filter would clog every two hours. We recommend first installing a hydrocyclone (cyclonic sand trap) that separates coarse sand using centrifugal force, followed by a self-cleaning finishing filter.
