Grundfos UP, UPS N circulators have a corrosion resistant stainless steel pump housing and are recommended for domestic hot water recirculation and underfloor heating systems. ON, UPS N can be connected to an on/off time switch to limit pump operation to periods when hot water is normally required.

The pump is of the wet rotor type with separating sleeve, i.e. the pump and motor form an integral unit without mechanical seal, with only two seals. The bearings are lubricated by the pumped liquid. The pump has a 3-speed selector. the pump is characterized by:
- Stainless steel shaft.
- Ceramic radial bearings.
- Carbon axle bearings.
- Stainless steel separator tube and plate.
- Impeller in non-corrosive material, Composite.
- Pump body in Stainless steel.
1-phase motor. No additional engine protection is necessary.
