Grundfos UP, UPS N circulators have a corrosion-resistant stainless steel pump housing and are recommended for domestic hot water recirculation and underfloor heating systems. ON, UPS N can be connected to an on/off time switch to limit pump operation to periods when hot water is normally required.

The pump is of the separator tube type with wet rotor, i.e. pump and motor form a single body without mechanical seal and with only two seals.
The bearings are lubricated by the same pumped liquid.
The pump is equipped with a 3-step speed selector
The pump is characterized by:
- Ceramic radial seal and bearings
- graphite thrust bearing
- stainless steel separator sleeve and bearing support
- wear-resistant impeller (MATIM)
- Pump body in Stainless steel
- The motor is of the 1-phase asynchronous type and does not require external protection.
