Grundfos ALPHA1 high-efficiency circulation pumps are designed for the circulation of liquids in heating systems. The stainless steel variant of the ALPHA1 is suitable for e.g. domestic hot water systems. With an Energy Efficiency Index (EEI) at the ErP benchmark for the most efficient pumps, it contributes to energy savings.

The pump can operate in proportional pressure, constant pressure and constant curve modes. The control mode is selected using the button on the display. LEDs indicate operating status, actual power consumption in watts, as well as warnings and alarms.

The design and selected materials of the pump contribute to its long life. The pump is self-ventilating through the system, which contributes to easy commissioning. The compact design, featuring a pump head with an integrated control box, adapts to the most common installations. The pump and motor form an integral unit without a mechanical seal. The bearings are lubricated by the pumped liquid. These construction features guarantee maintenance-free operation.

Cast iron pump bodies are electrically coated to improve corrosion resistance. The motor is a compact permanent magnet/stator synchronous motor characterized by high efficiency. The speed of the pump is controlled by an integrated frequency converter built into the control box.

Insulating shells are supplied with pumps to minimize heat loss in heating systems.
