Grundfos ALPHA1 L 32-60 180 is a high efficiency circulation pump with permanent magnet motor (ECM technology). The pump features three control modes; radiator heating mode, floor heating mode and constant curve/constant speed. Additionally, the speed can be controlled by a low-voltage PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) signal. The pump has a ceramic shaft and radial bearings, carbon thrust bearing, stainless steel rotor, rotor carrier plate and liner, composite impeller, which contribute to long life and the pump is self-ventilating, which helps to facilitate commissioning and simple selection of control mode. Compact design with pump head featuring integrated control box and control panel suits most common installations and boilers. The pump and motor form an integral unit without a shaft seal. The pump is a wet-operated model. This means that the bearings are lubricated by the pumped liquid. These conformations guarantee maintenance-free operation. The pump housing is made of cast iron and is electroless coated to improve corrosion resistance. The motor is a compact permanent rotor/stator synchronous motor.
