Arexons motorsild original red silicone gasket 60 gr cod. 0096
- The Original "Red Paste": The most famous and widely used silicone sealant in mechanics, synonymous with absolute reliability.
- High Temperature (+300°C): Formulated to withstand extreme heat spikes where normal silicones fail (headers, exhausts, thermostats).
- Universal Gasket: Replaces any pre-formed gasket. Conforms to irregular surfaces, ensuring a watertight seal.
- Multipurpose (Car & Home): Perfect for engines (sumps, differentials) but also for industrial systems, boilers, stoves and domestic oven doors.
- Chemical Resistance: Resistant to water, coolant, hot oils and atmospheric agents.
The myth of liquid gaskets: when the going gets hot, professionals choose Motorsil D.

Arexons Motorsil D: The Queen of Gaskets
There's a reason you'll find a red tube in every workshop in Italy. Arexons Motorsil D (Code 0096) is the single-component silicone elastomer that has made history in mechanical engineering. If you need to seal a part subjected to intense heat, simple "black paste" won't cut it: you need the extreme resistance of the Original Red Paste.
Why choose Motorsil D and not just any silicone?
Its acetic formula "HT" (High Temp) is designed for critical conditions:
- Superior Thermal Resistance: Maintains its elasticity from -70°C to peaks of +300°C . It does not crystallize, crack, or burn.
- "Vulcanizing" effect: Upon contact with humidity in the air, it transforms into a tough, adhesive rubber that seals mechanical couplings, thermostats, gear housings, and intake manifolds.
- Also for domestic use: Thanks to its heat resistance, it is the ultimate product for gluing glass gaskets on domestic ovens, pellet stove flanges, or boiler fittings.
- Self-leveling: Penetrates the micro-porosities of the metal creating a "cold weld" impossible to achieve with paper or cork gaskets.
Instructions for use
- Carefully remove any residue from the old gasket.
- Degrease surfaces with a solvent (cleanliness is essential for adhesion).
- Apply a bead of Motorsil D to one of the two parts.
- Wait approximately 5-10 minutes for the product to begin to reticulate (form a superficial skin).
- Join the parts and tighten. Don't overtighten immediately: allow the product to thicken.
- Complete hardening is achieved after 24 hours.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is it resistant to unleaded petrol?
NO. Like all acetic silicones, Motorsil D swells and loses its seal when immersed in gasoline. Do not use it on carburetors, fuel tank taps, or fuel pumps. It is, however, perfect for oil and antifreeze.
Can I use it to glue the glass of my kitchen oven?
Yes, this is a typical use for this product. Make sure to clean the glass and metal thoroughly before applying it and let it dry for 24 hours with the door open before turning the oven back on.
What is the difference with Motorblack (Black)?
Red (Motorsil D) is specifically designed for high temperatures (up to 300°C) and is more tenacious. Black (Motorblack) is specifically designed for maximum resistance to synthetic oils and reaches temperatures of 240°C, offering an aesthetic advantage on black engines.
Is it paintable?
No, silicone cannot be overpainted (paint doesn't stick and slides off). If you need to paint the piece, do so before applying the gasket or use acrylic/polyurethane sealants (which, however, cannot withstand these temperatures).
