Arexons Fai Tu Stucco Marmo: The Ultimate Solution for Natural Stone
A chip in a marble step or a crack in a windowsill aren't just aesthetic problems; they can compromise the material's structure. Arexons' "Fai Tu" marble stucco is formulated to offer professional-level results, even for DIY enthusiasts. Thanks to its two-component formula (resin + hardener), it transforms a home repair into an invisible and long-lasting structural improvement.
Why buy it: Professional strength and polishability
Unlike ready-to-use stuccos, the Arexons polyester system guarantees a final hardness similar to that of stone . This means that, after application, you can sand the treated area until it achieves the same level of shine as the surrounding marble. It is available in white and straw-yellow colors, which can be mixed perfectly together to achieve the exact shade of the original grain. Its chemical stability makes it resistant to yellowing and atmospheric agents, making it ideal for funerary art or protected exterior restorations.
Technical Specifications
The product is composed of a dense polyester resin and a paste hardener (benzoyl peroxide). The recommended mixing ratio is approximately 2%-3% hardener to the resin mass. It has a thermal resistance that supports brief peaks of up to 100°C and a density of 1.7 g/ml, which ensures excellent filling without excessive shrinkage.
How to use
- Make sure that the surfaces to be treated are perfectly clean, dry and free from dust or grease.
- Take the required amount of putty from the jar and add the hardener in a ratio of 2%-3% (a small amount of hardener for a spoonful of putty).
- Mix the two components vigorously until you obtain a smooth mixture.
- Apply the product to the area to be repaired, pressing well with a spatula to promote adhesion.
- Wait approximately 30-60 minutes before proceeding with final sanding or polishing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use Arexons Marble Stucco outdoors?
Yes, stucco has excellent weather resistance. However, for direct and constant exposure to sun and rain, we recommend protecting the stucco with a water repellent or stone-specific protector after polishing.
What happens if I add too much hardener?
Adding too much hardener drastically reduces the pot life and can cause excessive overheating or discoloration of the filler. It's important to stick to the 2-3% ratio.
Can stucco be colored?
Yes, it is possible to add small amounts of powdered pigments or specific polyester coloring pastes before adding the hardener, to perfectly match the color to the shade of the marble to be repaired.
