Do you need an external capacitor?

No, in single-phase versions, the capacitor is already integrated into the pump. Simply connect the cable to the mains (or to the control system).

Is it protected against dry running?

The MA version is protected by a float switch. For the MNA version, protection must be ensured by an external control system (e.g., pressure control or level probes).
