DAB circulators for domestic hot water

Instant hot water and maximum hygiene at the tap

In this section, you'll find the complete range of DAB recirculation pumps specifically designed for domestic hot water (DHW) systems. Designed with materials certified for potable use, they ensure hot water reaches the shower or sink immediately, eliminating waiting times and water waste.

  • Certified Materials: Pump body in Bronze or Technopolymer, resistant to rust.
  • Water Saving: Simply let the water run and wait for it to get hot.
  • Complete Range: Traditional 3-speed models (VS Series) and low-consumption electronic models (Evosta 2 SAN) available.

Why do you need a specific pump for domestic hot water?

The water we use for washing is rich in oxygen and mineral salts (limescale). If you used a standard heating pump (the green cast iron ones), the oxygen would cause rust within a few weeks, ruining the pump and contaminating the water.

DAB Sanitari circulators (recognizable by their brass/yellow body) are built to resist corrosion and limescale build-up, ensuring clean water and a long life.

🤔 Which model to choose?

It depends on your savings needs and the system:

  • DAB VS (Traditional): The classic, robust and economical bronze pump. Ideal if connected to an external timer or for occasional use.
  • DAB Evosta 2 SAN (Electronic): The top of the range. It consumes very little power (like an LED bulb) and automatically adjusts to the tap opening. It pays for itself on your electricity bill.

⚠️ Check the connections: Sanitary pumps often have smaller threads (1/2" or 1") than heating pumps. Always check your pipe size!

How to fight limescale?

All DAB circulators in this category are designed with a spherical rotor or anti-blocking geometry. However, if you live in an area with very hard water, we recommend models with easy disassembly for quick cleaning of the motor cartridge.

Frequently Asked Questions about Health Circulators

Can I replace my old Vortex or Wilo pump?

Yes, DAB circulators are universal. The important thing is to check the center distance (the length of the pump) and the size of the connection nozzles.

Do I have to keep the pump on 24 hours a day?

Not necessary. To save energy (especially with fixed VS models), we recommend connecting the pump to a timer to run only during peak hours (e.g., morning and evening) or when hot water is needed.

The pump is very hot, is this normal?

Yes, when handling domestic hot water (often at 50-60°C), the metal pump body will become hot to the touch. Evosta 2 SAN models are supplied with insulating shells to keep the heat inside.
