Buying Guide: NOVA or FEKA? Don't choose the wrong pump!

The most common mistake is using a clean water pump (Nova) for dirty water. This causes the impeller to immediately seize up.

1. DAB NOVA (The Cellar Emptying)

It's the compact green pump you see everywhere.
Solid passage: Max 5-10 mm.
Use: Clear or slightly cloudy water (rain, fine sand).
Recommended model: NOVA 300 MA for small emptying operations; NOVA 600 MA if more power is needed.

2. DAB FEKA (The Sewer Pump)

It's specifically designed to handle solid bodies. Here, the choice falls into two categories:

  • DAB FEKA 600 (Plastic): Economical and lightweight. 25mm solids passage. Perfect for decanted domestic wastewater (without excessive paper or lint).
  • DAB FEKA VS (Stainless Steel - Vortex): The professional choice. Made of micro-cast stainless steel. It features a Vortex impeller that allows the passage of solids up to 50 mm . It is indestructible and ideal for raw sewage with toilet paper and residue.

🔍 What do the acronyms MA and M-NA mean?

When choosing the template from the drop-down menu, pay attention:

  • MA (Single-Automatic): Means single-phase (house plug) WITH float switch. It turns on and off automatically. (Recommended for 99% of cases).
  • M-NA (Single-Non-Automatic): Means single-phase WITHOUT a float switch. You plug it in and it always runs. This is useful if you have very narrow wells or are using an external panel.
