FIELDS OF USE

Pattex Mille Chiodi Extreme is compatible with multiple materials including brick, ceramic, concrete, plasterboard, plywood, stone, MDF, wood, metal, PVC, glass, plastic*, painted surfaces* and mirrors**.

Applicable on all absorbent and non-absorbent materials except PE, PP, PTFE, acrylic glass, plasticized PVC, copper and brass. Check compatibility with coated surfaces, if necessary consult the technical office.

Can be used on wet surfaces if they are allowed to dry. Not recommended for permanent water immersion applications. Bonding and sealing in metal and wooden constructions (without movement between elements).

Bonding of natural stones (marble, granite) with a thickness of min. 10 mm.

* Due to the variety of materials, test the adhesion beforehand. The adhesion of Pattex Mille Chiodi Crystal on polystyrene

expanded polyurethane can be significantly improved by pre-treating the surface with vinyl glue (even diluted).

** Compliant with DIN EN 1036-1, for large objects consult the technical office.

HOW TO USE

Surface preparation

Ensure that the surfaces to be bonded are clean, sound and free from dust, grease or oil. Stagnant water must be removed. To promote adhesion, sand the surfaces and then clean them from dust. Ensure that paint or coatings are firmly attached, if not, remove them. The polymerization of the adhesive requires moisture (either from the atmosphere and/or from the substrate).

Application (cartridge product)

Cut the tip of the cartridge above the thread (1). Screw on the plastic nozzle and cut the tip diagonally (2). Place the cartridge in the gun (3) . Apply the adhesive to one of the surfaces: in dots (1) on irregular surfaces, in a wave shape (2) for a stronger initial grip on large surfaces or in straight lines for smaller surfaces (3). For external use, apply in vertical lines.

Release the gun after application to stop the adhesive from flowing.

Apply pressure to position the elements to be glued. If necessary (e.g. heavy and taut objects) use tape, wedges or supports to fix and support the elements for the first few hours (at least 24). It is

You can reposition the items after a few minutes of application. Then press again.

Ensure ventilation (minimum space between surfaces of 1 mm)

Important in case of two non-absorbent surfaces: the adhesive must not form a continuous seal, contact with air is necessary in order to allow cross-linking.

After polymerization:

Once cross-linked, Pattex Mille Chiodi Extreme can be painted over, water-based acrylic paints are particularly suitable. A pre-test is recommended, due to the different paints on the market.

Paints that cure in the presence of oxygen may take longer to dry or remain tacky.
